Fujitsu Stock (6702): Price, Board Talking Points and Outlook

By: WEEX|2026/07/19 18:41:49

Fujitsu (TSE: 6702) is a Japanese IT-services major and an AI-infrastructure name, with the enterprise LLM "Takane" and the Arm-based 2nm data-center CPU "FUJITSU-MONAKA" (2027). FY3/2026 saw revenue slip but profit rise on one-off gains (net income +104.5%), and the stock — down from a January high of ¥4,636 to ¥3,075 in May — rebounded to close up 1.3% at ¥3,298 on July 17, holding up better than peers during the July correction. The "Medium-term Vision 2035" and a large buyback frame the boards. This page summarizes the board talking points as of July 2026, the business and AI position, and how to read the stock.

Board and community talking points

Fujitsu's board text is not directly fetchable, so the themes below are the concerns as reported in the press and observed around the board as of July 2026.

  • A warm reception for "Medium-term Vision 2035." Published April 28, 2026, the plan was an observed trigger for a six-session win streak. Its FY2035 targets include revenue CAGR of +6-9%, an adjusted operating margin of 25-30%, and a total shareholder-return ratio of about 60%.
  • MONAKA versus NVIDIA. Boards frame the in-house MONAKA CPU as a "sovereign-compute" challenger to GPUs on power efficiency.
  • The buyback. A large 2026 buyback (reported at around ¥170 billion) draws attention as a shareholder-return move. These are observed views, not our recommendation.

The business and the AI/semiconductor cycle

Fujitsu (6702) trades on the TSE Prime market and combines IT services (SI and Uvance) with hardware and advanced computing, led by President and CEO Takahito Tokita with a March fiscal year-end. Note the 1-for-10 forward split effective April 1, 2024 — every price here is split-adjusted. There are three AI pillars. First, the enterprise Japanese LLM "Takane," launched September 30, 2024 and co-developed with Canada's Cohere on its "Command R+," for high-precision Japanese and image analysis. Second, the Arm-based 2nm data-center CPU "FUJITSU-MONAKA": an Armv9-A / TSMC 2nm 3D-chiplet design with about 144-150 cores, pitched at roughly twice a competitor's power efficiency, with AI servers co-developed with Supermicro and a 2027 target (a roadmap, with no current sales). Third, the enterprise AI platform "Kozuchi" and a 1,024-qubit quantum computer under development — MONAKA continues the lineage of the Fugaku supercomputer, which is a RIKEN machine that uses Fujitsu silicon.

On the numbers, FY3/2026 (results April 28, 2026, IFRS) delivered revenue of ¥3,502.9 billion (−1%, a decline), operating profit of ¥348.3 billion (+31.4%), and net income attributable to owners of ¥449.4 billion (+104.5%). The doubling of net income reflects services strength plus one-off gains, and Uvance reached its ¥700 billion revenue target. FY3/2027 guidance is revenue of ¥3,510 billion and operating profit of ¥425 billion, but net income of ¥320 billion — below FY3/2026's ¥449.4 billion, as the prior year's one-offs fade.

How to read the stock

The stock fell from a one-year high of ¥4,636 on January 15, 2026 (the AI/semiconductor rally) to a low of ¥3,075 on May 1, then recovered — including a six-session win streak on the April 28 reception of Vision 2035. In July it moved from ¥3,237 (July 1) to ¥3,218 (July 15) to ¥3,298 (July 17, up 1.3% that day), rebounding while SoftBank Group and Data Section fell — the July correction was not uniform.

Bulls point to genuine AI IP (Takane/Cohere), a differentiated 2nm Arm CPU (MONAKA, 2027), the Fugaku and quantum pedigree, sovereign-cloud demand, the buyback and roughly 60% total-return posture, and record adjusted profit. Bears note top-line barely growing (−1%), net income guided down next year as one-offs fade, MONAKA being a 2027 launch with no current sales, IT-services cyclicality, and competition against NVIDIA, AMD and Arm-native designs. This page sets no price target. Q1 FY3/2027 results are expected around the end of July 2026 (last year's Q1 was July 30; confirm the date on company IR).

Trading AI-theme exposure on WEEX

The AI theme Fujitsu embodies shows up globally across AI names. To own Fujitsu shares themselves, the standard route is a Japanese brokerage account. On WEEX you can instead trade USDT-M perpetual futures referencing AI names: contracts referencing Anthropic (ANTHROPICUSDT, up to 20x) and OpenAI (OPENAIUSDT, up to 50x) both listed on April 14, 2026, alongside perpetual futures referencing AI names such as Palantir (PLTR), Nebius (NBIS) and Zhipu (Z.ai). Anthropic and OpenAI are privately held; these are not the shares themselves but derivatives (perpetual futures) that track an exchange-published price index. Perpetual futures are leveraged, move sharply, and can produce losses exceeding your initial margin, so trade only with a full understanding of the risks. See the WEEX market listings. FAQ

Where can I see Fujitsu's message board?

On the Yahoo Finance Japan board (6702), where retail investors discuss the stock and price.

How is Fujitsu related to AI?

It runs the Japanese LLM "Takane" (co-developed with Cohere), the 2nm Arm CPU "MONAKA" (targeted for 2027, co-developed with Supermicro), the enterprise AI platform "Kozuchi," and quantum-computing work.

Why is net income guided down next year despite +104.5% growth?

FY3/2026 net income was lifted by one-off gains, so FY3/2027 guidance (net income of ¥320 billion) is below the prior year as those fade, with revenue roughly flat. On July 17 the stock closed up 1.3%, rebounding while SoftBank Group and Data Section fell — the July correction was not uniform (as of July 2026).

What moves the share price?

Quarterly results and progress on Vision 2035, MONAKA and Takane news, the buyback, and the overall AI/semiconductor tone.
