Data Section Stock (3905): Price, Board Talking Points and Outlook

By: WEEX|2026/07/19 18:41:49

Data Section (TSE: 3905) is a Japanese big-data and AI company listed on the TSE Growth market. In FY3/2026 its revenue jumped to roughly 11 times the prior year, and it is building Japan's first in-house AI data center using NVIDIA "B300" GPUs — yet the risks stand out: about 90% of revenue depends on a single counterparty, and it carries warrants with a maximum dilution of 199%. The stock quadrupled to about ¥6,140 in May, then fell to ¥2,527 on July 17 (down 6.0% that day). Retail boards are split sharply between "AI-infrastructure supremacy" hope and "financial treadmill" doubt. This page summarizes the board talking points as of July 2026, the business and AI position, and how to read the stock.

Board and community talking points

Data Section's board text is not directly fetchable, so the themes below are the concerns as published in analyst notes and observed around the board as of July 2026. Few stocks divide bulls and bears this sharply.

  • First, a correction — this is not a Bitcoin stock. Data Section is sometimes named a "Bitcoin-related stock," but there is no record it holds any Bitcoin — no timely disclosure and no treasury-tracker listing. This appears to be confusion with a same-named US company, Hyperscale Data (which does hold Bitcoin). Data Section is really an AI/big-data and AI-datacenter company.
  • Bull case: an awakening to AI-infrastructure supremacy. Bulls read the 11x revenue and the B300 execution as a genuine GPU-procurement edge.
  • Bear case: "the profitability trap," "a financial treadmill," "a suspect scheme." Bears suspect the reported profit may mask accounting risk rather than reflect organic strength — published analyst opinions, not established fact — and flag the 199% dilution overhang and single-customer dependence. These are observed views, not our recommendation.

The business and the AI/semiconductor cycle

Data Section (3905) trades on the TSE Growth market. Starting from big-data and text analytics, it is building its first in-house AI data center in Inzai, Chiba. It has contracted to acquire 635 servers carrying NVIDIA "B300" GPUs (5,080 in total) from Taiwan's Compal for about ¥50.9 billion (roughly US$325 million), funded by a customer advance of ¥4.87 billion, bank borrowings of ¥34.3 billion, and warrant exercises. The deals flow through its partner NowNow Japan, via which it signed large AI-datacenter contracts (one client at about US$135 million a year) for "one of the world's largest cloud providers," with service said to have started September 2025.

Here, though, is the structure bears question. About 90.7% of revenue runs through the single NowNow Japan channel — a company with ¥10 million of capital and one registered director — and the 23rd-series warrants issued in September 2025 carry a maximum dilution rate of 199.07% (nearly twice the shares outstanding). On the numbers, FY3/2026 (results May 15, 2026) delivered revenue of ¥33.6 billion (about 11.4x the prior ¥2.9 billion) and net income of ¥2.80 billion. FY3/2027 guidance is revenue of ¥162.2 billion (+382.6%) and operating profit of ¥24.8 billion, but ordinary profit of only ¥12.5 billion — the roughly ¥12.3 billion gap being mainly interest and other non-operating cost, consistent with the debt-heavy "treadmill" critique. Guided net income is ¥8.70 billion.

How to read the stock

Data Section has done no stock split, so the prices below are continuous. The stock rose from a year-to-date low of ¥1,270 on March 31, 2026, on the earnings and guidance blowout — ¥1,474 on May 1 to a peak of ¥6,140 on May 29 (about 4x) — then fell as skepticism and the July sector correction bit: ¥3,420 on July 1 to ¥2,527 on July 17 (down 6.0% that day).

Bulls point to the 11x revenue, the B300 execution, the Inzai data-center ramp, and GPU access as a barrier. Bears point to the 90.7% single-customer concentration, the 199% dilution capacity, the ¥34.3 billion of borrowings into a rate-hike backdrop, and counterparty risk tied to NowNow Japan. Note that as of July 2026 the company carries no supervisory or delisting designation — the delisting chatter on the boards is a bear theme, not a fact. This page sets no price target. Q1 FY3/2027 results are expected around mid-August 2026 (confirm the date on company IR).

Trading AI-theme exposure on WEEX

The AI-datacenter theme Data Section embodies shows up globally across AI names. To own Data Section shares themselves, the standard route is a Japanese brokerage account. On WEEX you can instead trade USDT-M perpetual futures referencing AI names: contracts referencing Anthropic (ANTHROPICUSDT, up to 20x) and OpenAI (OPENAIUSDT, up to 50x) both listed on April 14, 2026, alongside perpetual futures referencing AI names such as Palantir (PLTR), Nebius (NBIS) and Zhipu (Z.ai). Anthropic and OpenAI are privately held; these are not the shares themselves but derivatives (perpetual futures) that track an exchange-published price index. Perpetual futures are leveraged, move sharply, and can produce losses exceeding your initial margin, so trade only with a full understanding of the risks. See the WEEX market listings. WEEX does not offer Japanese single stocks or any proxy for them, including Data Section or any tokenized version of it; it offers crypto assets and derivatives like these. As noted above, Data Section itself holds no Bitcoin.
