The Russian State Duma will hold a second and third reading vote on a bill regulating the cryptocurrency market on July 21. The bill, introduced by Anatoly Aksakov, chairman of the Financial Market Committee, aims to establish a legal framework for the legitimate use of cryptocurrencies in Russia and to combat related fraud and illegal activities. According to the regulatory concept proposed by the Central Bank of Russia, ordinary investors will be able to purchase high-liquidity crypto assets determined by legislation after passing a test, but the annual purchase limit will not exceed 300,000 rubles per intermediary.
