Kimi Employee Responds to White House Accusation, Claims 15 Days to Complete Model Development is Impossible

Michael Kratsios, the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, pointed out that Moonshot AI (Kimi) referenced Anthropic's Fable while developing the K3 model and established a large-scale distillation platform for the U.S. model. In response, Moonshot AI team member Randy Xia stated that Fable was released on July 1, and K3 went live on July 15. Based on this timeline, Moonshot completed model research, distillation, training, and release in just 15 days. He jokingly remarked that such speed could easily qualify for a Guinness World Record.
